V-EMBARK (Educational Milestones Beyond Academics Redefining Knowledge), is a bouquet of engaging programmes that take learning beyond the confines of the classroom and provide opportunities to students to experience and learn in realistic and prolific learning environments.
V-EMBARK is a conglomerate of educational clubs and programmes that engage students in trans-disciplinary learning activities outside and beyond regular school hours.
The main purpose of the V-EMBARK programmes is to offer multiple avenues to students to connect with the real world, experience the interplay of skills and knowledge when transferred to real-life situations and thereby learn new skills, achieve new milestones and redefine the boundaries of knowledge.
VIBGYOR Nature Club develops sensitivity and sensibility towards nature and the young minds learn to appreciate the role of flora and fauna in their everyday life or gain first-hand experience, for instance, of recycling paper and the importance of three R’s- Reduce, Reuse, Recycle in the conservation of our natural resources. They are exposed to a new world of activities by zealous environmentalists which also helps them in deciding on a vocation in the field of Natural Science.
VIBGYOR Greaders’ Club is a Literary Club that offers a lot more than a regular reading club. As Dr. Seuss has said, “The more you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” The VIBGYOR Greaders’ Club satiates this greed to read. Besides enhancing their vocabulary, children hone their reading and writing skills, and develop a keen interest in reading. They interact with eminent authors and understand their style of writing, thereby fostering a love for books.
The VIBGYOR Model United Nations Club (VIBGYORMUN Club) engages students in an academic simulation of the United Nations by teaching them about the UN system, the skills of debate, compromise, conflict resolution and negotiation. It is a highly personalized, engaging and dynamic training programme which will train students to participate confidently and successfully in several National and International MUNs, especially in VIBGYOR’s very own MUN titled VIBGYORMUN. MUN is a mock-up of the UN where students’ role play as diplomats of countries in different UN committees such as the WHO, World Bank, Security Council and others. The club sessions are conducted under the aegis of MUN World India, a global platform for MUN enthusiasts. VIBGYORMUN Club’s dynamic environment (Virtual & Physical) provides an ideal platform for conversations, debates and deliberations.
An initiative wherein students and teachers voluntarily pledge their time and efforts to work towards social causes and undertake several time bound social engagement activities that aim to help them contribute to the betterment of the society. To shape them as better individuals, students need to be encouraged to develop virtues such as respect, compassion, justice, humility, and understand their social and moral responsibility towards humanity. Some of their activities include participation in Jane Goodall's India's Roots and Shoots program and the Oceans Are Us program.
V-EMBARK’s programmes like Europe meets India, foster contact and exchange of ideas at the educational level between students in different continents helping them develop knowledge, tolerance and respect for each other’s culture and values. Students from India visit European Nations and students from Europe visit India for an enriching cultural and educational experience.
The Student Teacher Exchange Programme was initiated as an international exchange programme between schools belonging to two different countries/continents. Team VERTEX will identify and connect with schools abroad that will partner with our schools for the student teacher exchange. Students are strongly encouraged to engage in overseas exchange programmes to widen their horizons, particularly about acquiring a global perspective. STEP helps cultivate independence and problem solving, improve language skills and interpersonal skills, expose students to a multicultural environment, and even develop international networking. It also provides a precious opportunity for students to experience other cultures and learn to appreciate their differences. The travel and the programme structure are designed by the school. A group of students of the secondary section and teachers will visit the partner school, stay with host families there for a short period of 7-10 days and follow their school routine. They will also host students and teachers from the partner school visiting their city. The student participants are exposed to a new culture; a new way of life that helps them evolve as a person besides being a memorable experience.
Through V-EMBARK we assist our children go beyond the realms of academics, pursue and excel in their domains/spheres of interest and use their success to affect a positive change in the world. It is a journey of creating effective, socially aware, mature and well-rounded individuals.
