TJIS VIBGYOR HIGH gave a fun-filled memorable farewell party to its grade 10 students on 21 Februaury, 2012.Cultural programmes and games were organised to entertain them and also to help them to relax from their tiresome study routine.The school principal Ms. Soma Debnath wished best of luck to the students and bade them a formal goodbye
Workshop on Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation
The workshop on Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) was conducted in the AV Room on 18-02-2012 by Ms. Shaileja Gupta , HOD of English and Ms.L. Mahananda, HOD of Social Studies. The session was started by Ms. Mahananda on the progress of the students. A pre-test was conducted , to find out the teachers baseline knowledge on CCE. Various aspects were covered on CCE. Session started with CCE, CCE at secondary level in CBSE schools, Formative Assessment, Summative Assessment, Grading System and its Advantages.
Teachers are working on the pre-test questionnaire -Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE).
Workshop on "Extended Questioning Strategies"
Education is eliciting best out of the child. Through the art of thoughtful questioning teacher can extract not only facts, but can extract learner in connecting concepts, making inferences, increasing awareness, encouraging creative , intuitive , divergent thinking in the students. The workshop on Questioning Strategies was conducted in the A V Room on 11-02-2012 by Ms. Shaileja Gupta, HOD of English..A range of phases was covered in this sessions. Session started with an activity on how to frame Higher Order Questions, Types of Question, Strategies to ask Questions, Bloom’s Taxonomy etc.

Olympiad Achievement of VIBGYOR HIGH HYDERABAD
RAISING THE BAR Miss Rekha Vegesna of grade 8 participated in the 7th intellectual Olympiad 2011 – 12 and qualified to the 3rd level i.e. the state level in the Science and research skills category and she bagged a silver medal for the same. She presented a working model on Acid Rain.

FIELD TRIP TO SALARJUNG MUSEUM
The student from grade 5th, 6th and 8th grade got an opportunity to travel around and explore the Salarjung museum on 8/12/2011 at 10 am. -The Salarjung Museum which is the third largest museum in India and the biggest one-man collections of antiques in the world. It is well known throughout India for its prized collections belonging to different civilizations dating back to the 1st century. Nawab Mir Yousuf Ali Khan Salar Jung III (1889–1949), former Prime Minister of the seventh Nizam of Hyderabad, spent a substantial amount of his income over thirty five years to make this priceless collection, his life's passion. Important Statues There are Aurangzeb's dag belonging to empress Noor Jehan, emperors Jehangir and Shah Jehan, the turbans and chair of Tippu Sultan, furniture from Egypt, paintings on display. Among the sculptures stands out the world famous statue of Veiled Rebecca by G.B. Benzoni, an Italian sculptor, in 1876 which was a center of attraction of the museum. Her beautiful face hazily is visible through a marble but gossamer veil. Apart from the galleries, there is a reference Library, reading room, publication and education section, chemical conservation lab, sales counter, cafeteria etc.

The museum building in a semicircular shape with 38 galleries, to name few galleries-Indian Bronze and Printed Textiles Gallery, Indian Sculpture Gallery, Minor Arts of South India, Indian Textile & Moughal Glass gallery, Children’s section-it comprised of Toys and Dolls Gallery, Flora and Fauna Gallery, the students from TJIS VIBGYOR HIGH had visual treat by seeing the children section and they have taken pleasure in viewing “Snow white and the seven dwarfs” various Japanese, Chinese dolls etc.
This educational trip was very informative, and students have acquired more knowledge on our rich Indian history, Arms and Armor, Arabic, Persian Manuscripts, Egyptian & Syrian Art, Chinese Collection, Japanese Art, European Art.
Field Trip to Vijaya Dairy
The Students of class VII along with Mr.Santhosh and Ms.Subhodh Panday made a field trip to the Vijaya Dairy at Lalapet ,Hyderabad on 3rd Dec;2011. The Students saw milk and ghee packaging units. They also had the opportunity to visit the butter milk machine area and understood the process of packaging. The lady guide also explained to the students various process involved in the packaging of the milk products. Over all, the visit was quite educative and interesting.
Workshop on Student Motivation
Some students seem naturally enthusiastic about learning ,but many need or expect their teachers to inspire, challenge ,and stimulate them. Effective learning in the classroom depends on the teacher’s ability to maintain the interest that brought students to the school in the first place. Students learn by doing ,making ,writing ,designing, creating ,solving. A teachers' expectations have a powerful effect on student’s performance. The workshop on Student Motivation was conducted in the A.V .Room on 25/02/2012 by Ms.Rhoda Persis ,Special Educator. The sessions were taken up with the help of Power Point Presentation in detail about various strategies to motivate the students.

INTER HOUSE COMPETITIONS FOR THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY
An Inter House Competition was held on 17/02/12. Grades Vth to VIIIth participated with great zeal and enthusiasm under the able guidance of their house Masters. The students demonstrated a spirit of team work as all the activities were group activities. The children were given 1 hour to make their model. Once the model was prepared they presented and demonstrated the same modals. One child of the group spoke about the modal they had prepared. Their skills mesmerized the judges and they spoke well about the topics. Their modals included a hovercraft, rocket, windmill, solar panel, electric motor.

The vibrant Primary school of TJIS VIBGYOR HIGH celebrated a fun and frolic year end Party for the first time
All the students were eagerly waiting to open their boxes and share their snacks with their friends.
After having a delicious snacks students played entertainment games like Dumb Charades, Puzzles, Word Building & Memory Games, organized by their teachers. The party ended with the photograph session.

Making of Scarecrow Grade-III
A scarecrow is, fundamentally, a trick to scare away the crows, though traditionally, it’s a human figure dressed in old clothe and filled with dry hay and it is used in fields by farmers to put off birds such as crows or sparrows from destroying and feeding on recently spread seed and growing crops.

Viva Colours of Talent
Viva was celebrated on 26th and 27th November 2011. The event started with sports competitions, it got on to the track with march past by all the four houses Air, Fire, Water and Earth. The students marched with great spirit and zeal.
Balloons were released to set of the races around the pitch.
Following that, various sports competitions like Long Jump, Running Race, Short Put, Basketball and Football were conducted. All the competitions portrayed by the contender were highly appreciated by the big audience of parents, students, staff and others.
Subsequently, various competitions were held for the children and parents. The competition started with Look Alike, Recreate Picasso, Dress me up, Stories Come Alive, Prop Rock, Nature Best Shot, Chance Pe Dance etc. The parents and kids were greatly engrossed in the activities and by constant encouragement, they were greatly encouraged and felt delighted.

Babitha Jain, Ms. Aanchal Vasandani, Ms.Sanchita Kothare, Ms.Shaji Kuttani, Mr. Harinder Singh, Ms. Sridevi, Mr. Vinod, Mr.Rajan, and Mr.Nikhil Kumar.The final viva event started of with the lighting of the lamp by Shri. Vinay Raj Sony (Trustee).
There were a total of 13 contenders, 7 boys and 6 girls. The initial round was ramp walk, it was like a journey on a highway with the speed bumpers. It was fast, energetic, bubbly, playful and memorable for all the contestants. The other two rounds were Self Introduction and Question –Answer round. Based on the best responses, the judges selected Viva Prince-M.Madhujit and Viva Princess- Rishma.K.

Next to follow was a play depicting Earth. The acting was more exceptional in nature. A fluid dialogue by the students was another hallmark of the event.The kids were very apt for their roles. Some of the kids showed their acting skills smiling mischievously, by charming the hearts of the viewers.

Republic Day Celebration
TJIS VIBGYOR High celebrated the 63rd Republic Day with Patriotic zest, pride and gaiety. The well decorated venue on the school premises played the host of the event. The entire school came alive with the spirit of Patriotism and unity. The guest for the occasion were Shri Jain Vinay Raj Sony, trustee of Jain Madan Raj Sony charitable trust and Prof. Pradeep Kumar of Osmania University.
The event began with the Welcome speech delivered by Trishi, the President of the Student Council . It was followed with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and garlanding the Patriot of our father of Nation. It was followed by the lively March Pass by the Student Council Members..
Thereafter the chief guest hoisted the National Flag . The entire school Campus reverberated with National Anthem. All the students took pledge to serve the nation
The cultural programme by the students mesmerized the audience. The patriotic dance on Vande Matram left the audience spellbound while the skit on corruption gained maximum attention
The most exciting part of the event was the prize distribution. Students who excelled in co-scholastic activities were felicitated..

Sankranti marks the transition of the Sun into Makara rashi (Capricorn) on its celestial path. Traditionally, this has been one of many harvest days in India.Owing to the vast geography and diversity of culture in India, this festival is celebrated for innumerable reasons and in innumerable ways depending on the climate, agricultural environment, cultural background and location. TJIS VIBGYOR celebrated Sankranti on 12.1.2012.

A total of 9 teams from various schools participated in foot ball sport. The troop to enter the field was TJIS VIBGYOR HIGH & INDUS WORLD SCHOOL. Followed by the other teams from different schools. The winner for the boys team was A.P SPORTS SCHOOL, followed by the 1st runner BHARATIA VIDHYA BHAVAN and followed by 2nd runner TJIS VIBGYOR HIGH boys team.
BASKET BALL
Various schools participated in the combat sport –Basket Ball. The battalions to enter the court were TJIS VIBGYOR HIGH and INDUS WORLD SCHOOL. Battle of basket ball sport was followed by the others teams from different schools. The winner for Boys team was INDUS WORLD SCHOOL, followed by the 1st runner-DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL, followed by 2nd runner-TJIS VIBGYOR. The winner for girls team was INDUS WORLD SCHOOL followed by the 1st runner DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL, further followed by the 2nd runner TJIS VIBGYOR HIGH.

Children's Day-"LET'S ROCK" gave an enormous platform to the children kids to shows of their talents to the out side world.
There were innumerous participants who have participated actively,energetically,vigorously in all the events. The entire arena was filled with a festive feel. Parents were eager and fervent to know more about JTIS VIBGYOR HIGH.
The occasion started with the opening ceremony which clearly mirrored the mission and vision of TJIS VIBGYOR HIGH. Various events and competitions were held for three days, some of them were Painting,Dancing,Tattoo making, Ramp Walk....
As a tribute to chacha Nehru, children’s day is celebrated all over India on 14th November. TJIS VIBGYOR HIGH grab the occasion to celebrate children’s Day Let’s Rock in Inorbit mall on 13th -15th .
FIELD TRIP TO KBR
Grade V and V1 students were on field tour to KBR park, the major objective of the trip was to acquire more knowledge and understanding on the concepts of science. The students have learned about scientific names of different trees, structure of different parts of plant and other valuable information on conservation of plants.
ASSET
Asset is a scientifically designed diagnostic test, which stands for Assessment of Scholastic Skills through Educational Testing. The unique aim is to check the in-depth knowledge and understanding of concepts that are taught in the class. Total of 63 students from TJIS VIBGYOR HIGH participated in ASSET - English, Math, Science, Social Sciences and Hindi. A totality of 63students triumphed in ASSET.The Following are the students who pulled off the top most position in Asset. FIELD TRIPS
The purpose of the trips are usually for observation for education, non-experimental research or to provide students with experiences outside their everyday activities It’s a form of extended classroom which gives students a practical approach and helps them to relate as what they have learnt in theoretical form.
Field trip helped students of Vibyour High Tjis to interact with what they are learning. The experience was beyond reading about a concept; students were able to see it, manipulate it or participate in it physically. Students were able to see elements with their eyes rather than reading about it and believing what they are told because it's in print.
As our school believes in developing overall holistic personality, an endowment of integrated and infinite possibilities of the body, mind and spirit .Now with these kind of knowledge pupils will be able to construct his/her knowledge creatively by reading, exploring, dreaming, questioning, formulating and testing hypothesis and its meaningful application to life.
All the students of grade V to X were taken to a botanical garden, Visiting a botanical garden was much more powerful than reading about it.
The trip served as a powerful motivator for students as learning and fun made a great combination. As the pupils learnt about social interaction. The interactions taught them about how to behave in different settings.

Interhouse Competition - Best Out Of Waste
An InterHouse competition was held on 30th June 2011 for the students. Each class was given a theme, enabling them to exhibit their creative skills. Students participated with great enthusiasm. A true spirit of teamwork was visible while the students worked on to put their best foot forward.
Field Trip
The students of grade I were taken to post office at Kallakal village. They were accompanied by their teacher Ms. Sneha lata. The children had great enthusiasm. They met the Postmaster and were explained the process how the letters reach their destination. Then the children bought postcard and they wrote letter to their parents and posted it. Even in this electronic era children were made to understand the importance of the post office and their role in the society.
Teacher's Induction
TJIS ,a unit of VIBGYOR High progressed with smooth transaction in the beginning of June 2011. The academic session begin with high spirits. The teachers were inducted by a team who specially arrived from Mumbai and made us familiar with the policies of VIBGYOR High. Teachers were inducted with the mission and motto of VIBGYOR High along with the academic procedures and HR policies.Ms. Melita, from the Central Office, Mumbai, conducted two days induction session for the teachers, enriching all with the required skills sets to excel followed by Ms. Ritula , from Central office Mumbai , who took us few steps ahead holding our hands and encouraging us to proceed with our mission. Ms Rachana , HR Manager from Central Office Mumbai, joined us to make us familiar with the HR policies.
Discovery Room
A discovery room is set up in the premise which gives the clear and concise picture of our curriculum, activities, policies and academics including the examination pattern. The visitors can go through the details and get the real picture of our routine.
Coffee Meet With Parents
To assure our parents about our dedication and commitment towards shaping the children in right direction, a coffee meet with the parents was organized in two phases. First coffee meet was held on 05/06/2011 with parents of students of class IX & X. The second coffee meet was held on 12/06/2011. Parents were addressed with the mission and motto of VIBGYOR high. They were also given details of internal examination pattern and various other academic and co-curricular activities that are lined up for the upcoming session. This reassured our parents that the team is dedicated for the overall development of each child entrust upon us.
School Assembly
Under the able guidance of our Principal Ms. Soma Debnath and experienced Coordinators, the expert team of teachers began their new academic session with great enthusiasm and dedication. The classes have commenced in full swing. We had a formal assembly, where the students were formally introduced to our new principal, the coordinators and Head of Departme
