The inaugural VHMUNC was held at Goregaon (West) from 30 June to 2 July. It was attended by more than 120 students from Baroda, Benguluru, Pune, Hyderabad & Mumbai. The guest delegates from Singapore Internatioal School and Ecole Mondiale School, Mumbai, made valuable contributions. After the opening ceremony the representatives from Harvard MUN, India, gave some excellent suggestions to the delegates. The committee sessions were abuzz with members working on resolutions ranging from International Terrorism to Sustainable Debt Management. The Press Release ‘La Voce’ was a refreshing take on the exciting happenings at the conference. The event was a fantastic learning experience.

The Model United Nations simulations are held in many schools and colleges globally. These provide a extraordinary platform for students to learn and discuss pressing issues related to the entire world. They will gain insights into the complexity of international relations and formulation of policies that affect the world. It will create a better understanding of the intricacies of negotiations, the challenges of achieving consensus and the patience required to win diplomatic progress. These skills will help them in all aspects of life.
You are well aware that our students have been attending various Model United Nations Conferences for the last four years viz,. the Harvard MUN, and the Ivy League Model United Nations Conference at the University of Pennsylvania, USA. Apart from these, our students of the secondary section (ICSE, IGCSE and A Level) have also been a part of the Chennai Model United Nations (CHEMUN) which was held in Chennai, and the Ecole Mondiale Model United Nations (EMUN) and the International Youth Conference (IYC) which take place in International schools in Mumbai.
We are pleased to inform you that our school is planning to host our very own intra VIBGYOR High Model United Nations Conference (VHMUNC Mumbai 2011). The tentative dates for the conference are 30 June 2011 to 3 July 2011. Our enthusiastic students currently studying in Grade 7 and upwards and are keen to improve their reading, research, communication skills and expand their knowledge of the world are invited to register for VHMUNC, Mumbai 2011.
As a precursor to the VHMUN Conference we have started own VHMUN Club. Here, the student delegates are trained by the Secretariat which comprises of student representatives who have participated in MUNs before and thus have an exhaustive knowledge of their workings. These sessions will be very informative and empower the members of the VHMUN Club to participate in such MUN simulations across the world.
Also the VHMUN Secretariat will coordinate with the other VIBGYOR branches and provide any assistance which the student delegates require during their preparation for the VHMUN Conference.
